My role as a Head of Sales Europe is to help customers optimise their licensing and reduce costs. With over ten years' experience, I advise on licensing issues, software asset management and hybrid application structures, including private/public cloud options. Meeting people from different industries and helping them analyse their IT environment to find the best and most cost-effective solution is probably the part of my job I enjoy the most. By understanding my client's needs and software usage, I can identify new opportunities for license optimisation and help them save money. Software asset management is a common struggle for many organisations, resulting in over-licensing or under-licensing. I work closely with my clients to understand their software usage and recommend the most appropriate licensing solution. GreenIT: It is estimated that data centers and the IT industry as a whole are responsible for around 2-3% of global CO2 emissions, which is roughly equivalent to all of the world's air traffic.
